Is the key to happiness … to only care about yourself? 😈 Narcissists are described as being self-centered, lacking empathy, and having no shame or guilt. They also tend to be happier than the rest of us, a new study found. People who have high levels of narcissism are mentally tougher and less stressed, the research says. “Grandiose narcissism,” specifically, is “positively” correlated with traits that help you succeed. “A grandiose narcissist might not consider other people’s opinions, which can help them focus on a goal,” the lead researcher says. Know any narcissists? Tag them in the comments below! 🤳 More details on the study, at the link in bio.

Ok, boomer. Millennials earn 20% less than baby boomers did at the same age – even though the younger generation has an overall higher education level, says a new report. But how? Blame can be pointed to the Great Recession and its aftereffects. Those who entered the workforce following the downturn had fewer opportunities and lower wages, starting them off at a disadvantage. (At the same time, many faced higher college tuition costs, leading to higher student loan debt rates). And this isn’t just a problem for millennials – it can cause long-term financial issues for generations to come. Find out how at the link in bio. (With @CNBCMakeIt)

One of South America’s smallest countries could see a MAJOR upswing in economic growth next year, says the IMF. Guyana will see its economy go up by 86% in 2020 (a huge increase from its 4.4% growth in 2019), according to the organization. But why the sudden expansion? It has to do with one thing: Oil. Guyana is extremely oil rich – it has the highest amount of oil for each individual person in the world. To compare, OPEC kingpin Saudi Arabia has approximately 1,900 barrels of offshore reserves per person. Guyana, though? It has 3,900 barrels per person. But will Guyana live up to economic expectations? Read more at the link in bio.

Though Elon Musk has had much success, he has not had a lot of time off. Between working over 100 hours a week and several disastrous vacation attempts, including one where he “came very close to dying,” Musk says that vacations are just not for him. Musk says that his aversion to them is an ethical issue, too. “I don’t believe people should be experiencing hardship while the CEO is, like, off on vacation,” he said. What do you think of the CEO’s stance? Find out more about Musk’s tragic vacation attempts by clicking the link in bio.
