Kinstretch Instructor and FRCms @pcstrength #Fun#FunctionalRangeSystems⁣ ・・・⁣ ⁣ Started working with @lanestain consistently in January of last year. Original goal was to drop a few pounds and see how we could maintain strength in the process. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ During that time, we identified a few movements that were giving him some back pain. Exercise technique was fine, but with previous experience going hard and heavy for most lifts, he had a few glaring joint deficiencies. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ First and foremost, we had to fix hip internal rotation. Without adequate hip IR, EVERYTHING that involves the hip gets harder. Squats. Deadlifts. Lunges. Leg press. Hamstring curls. Jumping. Sprinting. Walking. All made unnecessarily hard because of a lack of joint workspace. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ No joint space = minimal movement variability = compensations from other joints which will can lead to:⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ❌ early joint degeneration⁣⁣ ❌ missed training sessions⁣⁣ ❌ less capacity to build muscle⁣⁣ ❌ strength plateaus⁣⁣ ❌ inability to access all motor units of a given muscle⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ We could have just ignored his discomfort and “trained around it.” ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ But if we agree that consistency in training is the most important factor in long term success, then establishing proper joint function is one of the most important aspects of training. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ “A square peg doesn’t fit into a round hole.” ⁣ ⁣ 🔻🔻🔻⁣ #FunctionalRangeSystems⁣ #FunctionalRangeConditioning⁣ #FRCms⁣ #Mobility⁣ #ControlYourself⁣ #JointHealth⁣ #AdvancedJointTraining

FRS Assistant Instructor @coachzachdeck #Fun#FunctionalRangeSystems⁣ ・・・⁣ ⁣ Building a Monster Hip⁣ ⁣ @missiledreaming is a Defensive End for the @raiders. From a movement perspective, Defensive Ends have very specific positional demands. Notice how hard Clelin’s outside hip has to work to absorb force from the blocker.⁣ ⁣ To have a monster year, we have to build a monster hip. Our first objective is to expand rotational capacity using FRC principles. Turn the volume on for cuing.⁣ ⁣ 1⃣ IR Progressive Angular Isometric Loading⠀⠀⠀⁣ 2⃣ IR Passive Range Holds ⠀⠀⠀⁣ 3⃣ IR Eccentric Neural Grooving ⠀⠀⁣ 4⃣ Hip CARs⁣ ⁣ ⁣Clelin knows that frequency is king when it comes to joint strength. He has a similar setup to train on his own for homework and that hip is improving quickly. Look out NFL. ⁣ ⁣ 🔻🔻🔻⁣ #FunctionalRangeSystems⁣ #FunctionalRangeConditioning⁣ #FRCms⁣ #Mobility⁣ #ControlYourself⁣ #JointHealth⁣ #AdvancedJointTraining

FRCms @trent.tisdell #Fun#FunctionalRangeSystems⁣ ・・・⁣ ⁣ 1 month hip gains for @hannah_not_montana_ using @fun@functionalrangeconditioning -⁣ ⁣ When assessing Hannah we found a large gap between her passive and active range of motion in hip ER.⁣ ⁣ Meaning she had the workspace but only passively, leaving her with weak, poor quality connective tissue at end range.⁣ ⁣ Using the @functionalrangeconditioning system we applied specific PAILs/RAILs inputs, passive range holds, CARS, etc (all active inputs) to adapt the tissue to become stronger/more resilient and convince the nervous system to allow access to more active ROM.⁣ ⁣ Mobility training is strength training. Put the work in and the results will come!⁣ ⁣ 🔻🔻🔻⁣ #FunctionalRangeSystems⁣ #FunctionalRangeConditioning⁣ #FRCms⁣ #Mobility⁣ #ControlYourself⁣ #JointHealth⁣ #AdvancedJointTraining⁣ • • •⁣ ⁣ #rangeofmotion #training #endrangestrength #makeshitworknice
