A special picture for post number 300. This nice cat was hanging out at a taverna in #kamares#sifnos in spring of 2013. She is one of the first Greek cats I photographed. Usually when I was petting her she would give me a little bite. I fed her every night but unfortunately her eye socket was not healing well. I tried to find help for her but did not locate any vet on Sifnos. The next spring I came back and she was gone. I asked the taverna owner about her and he said she had gone to another part of the island, which I thought unlikely because cats usually don't change their territories. The owner was not very willing to talk about this cat and I began to get the feeling that she may have been dumped somewhere or poisoned.
This is the cat that led me to learn about rescue groups in Greece. With their assistance I was eventually able to help some other cats and brought 2 home to the USA. They also gave me the idea for starting @greekcatwalks
