A 10-point buck and spike pose for a photo a Heckrodt Wetland Reserve. It was a beautiful day, and the lack of people made for some great shots. Plus, it's always nice to meet fellow photographers, even when their lens is bigger than mine!⠀ *⠀ *⠀ *⠀ *⠀ *⠀ *⠀ *⠀ #wildlife #wildlifephotography #wildlifeonearth #wildlifeaddicts #wildlifephotographer #wildlifeperfection #wildlife_vision #wildlifeconservation #wildlife_shots #deer #whitetaildeer #deerphotography #nature #naturephotography #naturelover #nature_perfection #nature_brilliance #wildlifeofinstagram #oshkoshphotographer #yourshotphotographer #wisconsin #wisconsinoutdoors #discoverwisconsin #explorewisconsin #wildlife_photography #heckrodtwetlandreserve #menasha

Another thing for artists to consider is that Yosemite Renaissance is not only about the landscape. Subject matter must be related to the landscape, environment, wildlife and people of Yosemite National Park and the California Sierra Nevada region. We encourage artist to celebrate the beauty and wonder of nature, but also to consider and explore environmental issues, ecology, biology, forestry, current events, political, spiritual and cultural themes. The possibilities are endless! Artist Rachel Ivanyi says, " ...I find joy in the natural world and revel in minute differences that separate one creature from the next. Truthfully, I enjoy the research into my subject’s natural history almost as much as painting them... Whether it’s observing green sea turtles inches from my nose, finding salamanders under rocks deep in a forest, or studying specimens in a university collection, I find endless inspiration in the patterns and themes of nature... My art merges my love of science, storytelling and conservation."
